Helping Chinese and Hong Kong enterprises evaluate opportunities in Mauritius through market research, demand and competitor analysis, commercial feasibility assessment, local stakeholder engagement and identification of potential customers and partners.
Facilitating market entry through company incorporation with professional partners, EDB procedures, Occupation Permits, work permits, licensing and regulatory approvals.
We help investors navigate government procedures at national and local levels, including EIA, CIA, BLUP and other sector-specific requirements, working with appropriate legal and technical professionals.
Advancing opportunities from initial concept towards implementation through business planning, project structuring, commercial partnerships, tender identification and preparation, bid coordination, financial modelling, financing introductions and stakeholder engagement.
Helping international manufacturers and brands establish a commercial presence in Mauritius without immediately setting up local operations.
Activities include market testing, import/export coordination, customer acquisition, distribution development and brand representation.
Turning undeveloped energy opportunities into operational electricity-generating assets.
We work with landowners, businesses and investors to develop solar PV and battery energy storage projects.
Our approach aims to advance early-stage projects towards bankability, secure development partners and financing, and coordinate construction and commissioning towards commercial electricity generation.
Landowners need neither project-development experience nor construction capital to explore opportunities with us. Potential arrangements include land leases and development partnerships, with electricity supplied to the Central Electricity Board (CEB) under applicable schemes, subject to feasibility and approvals.
We also develop commercial and industrial solar PV/BESS opportunities.
Experience spanning Smart City, urban regeneration, commercial and mixed-use developments in Mauritius.
Our founder has led development planning and investor representation for major projects exceeding US$100 million, involving land holdings exceeding 100 acres and development schemes exceeding 70,000 m² gross floor area.

Specialist experience in corporate governance, internal controls, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering/counter-terrorist financing (AML/CFT).
Our founder previously led risk advisory activities at Baker Tilly Mauritius, supporting organisations in assessing risks, strengthening governance and improving compliance frameworks.
China Africa BD Limited (CABD) was incorporated in Hong Kong in July 2026 to facilitate cross-border business development, commercial partnerships and investment opportunities, initially focusing on Mauritius as a gateway to wider African markets.
CABD combines founder-led management with an established network of commercial and professional relationships across Hong Kong, Mainland China and Mauritius.
Our connections span publicly listed companies, manufacturers, OEMs, EPC contractors, developers, investors, banks, accounting and audit firms, legal advisers, notaries and specialist consultants.
This network enables CABD to bring together the appropriate technical, financial, legal and commercial expertise for each engagement, providing clients with coordinated solutions.
CABD is led by Alex ZHANG, a multidisciplinary professional combining engineering and technology expertise with financial, commercial and strategic management capabilities.
With a master's degree in engineering from Yale University and the Financial Risk Manager (FRM) qualification, his career includes international industrial management experience with BASF, Bekaert and Baker Tilly, major investment and development projects, and corporate board-level responsibilities.
He has also participated in China–Mauritius investment-promotion engagements in Beijing alongside senior Mauritius Ministry of Finance and Economic Development Board officials, in connection with the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC), supporting discussions with prospective Chinese investors including Global Fortune 500 MNC and listed SOEs.
This combination of industrial, financial and institutional experience underpins CABD's integrated approach to cross-border business development.
